Monthly Classes
Please join me for a relaxing slow mending morning at Nest Sewing School in leafy Crouch End, London N8 9PP. This beginner's class takes place on the last Sunday morning of each month from 10 am to 1pm. Discover the gentle yet radical art of visible mending. No prior sewing experience is necessary. Whilst you are welcome to bring your own project, I suggest practicing with the provided fabric swatches during class before tackling your precious knitwear, particularly if you are a beginner! All materials, including needles, threads, fabric swatches, darning discs, and scissors will be available for you to use in the session plus plenty of tea and biscuits. Would you like the chance to unwind and immerse yourself in the gentle art of visible mending for an entire day? I am thrilled to announce my first one-day retreat-style darning workshops, which will take place over the Summer of 2024 at Nest Sewing School, London N8 9PP
Come and spend a day with me where we will explore all aspects of slow and gentle visible mending. In the morning session you will learn how to creatively repair your clothes and in the afternoon, it's all about you and your clothes. Please bring with your favourite items ( jackets, knitwear, jeans, socks, scarves etc.) to mend in the afternoon session and consolidate the mornings learning in a relaxed and unhurried way. You can immerse yourself in the rhythm of mending and enjoy the opportunity to spend a day crafting in good company. Please bring a packed lunch or alternatively there are plenty of cafes in Crouch End not far from Nest. I will provide an assortment of beautiful yarns at the workshop with enough to take home so you can finish your piece. All materials, including needles, threads, fabric swatches, darning discs, and scissors will be available for you to use during the day plus plenty of tea and biscuits!
This sewing workshop is perfect for those seeking a break from the hustle and bustle, and a chance to slow down in a tranquil setting. No prior sewing experience is necessary to join in with the sewing retreat. Book yourself in using the booking form below.

Cancellation and class policy
I can only issue refunds on class bookings with 7 days notice. If you register for a class and later become unable to attend, I will gladly offer you credit if you notify me in that time. After the cut off date for your class, I may be unable to offer credits of any kind or honour reschedule requests.
If you arrive more than 15 minutes late you may not be able to take part in the class and you may not be able to move to another class or receive a refund as classes start promptly.
